Description

Buttery Shrimp-Stuffed Croissants are flaky, golden croissants filled with a creamy, savory shrimp mixture, perfect as an appetizer, brunch item, or light dinner.


Ingredients

  • 8 large croissants
  • 300 g shrimp, peeled, deveined, and chopped
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for brushing)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped shrimp, salt, pepper, paprika, and lemon juice; cook for 2–3 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, mayonnaise, mozzarella, parmesan, and parsley.
  6. Fold the cooked shrimp into the cheese mixture.
  7. Slice croissants lengthwise without cutting all the way through.
  8. Fill each croissant generously with the shrimp mixture.
  9. Place stuffed croissants on the prepared baking tray.
  10. Brush tops with beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden and heated through.
  12. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Do not overcook shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Add chili flakes for a spicy version.
  • Best served fresh, but can be reheated gently.
