Description

Cajun Garlic Butter Chicken with Cheddar is a bold and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts seared in a rich garlic butter sauce, seasoned with Cajun spices, and topped with melted cheddar cheese for a spicy, cheesy finish.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry and season both sides with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through (165°F). Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes, scraping up browned bits from the pan.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and simmer until slightly thickened.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it. Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top and cover until melted.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with rice, mashed potatoes, or vegetables.
