Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 115 g cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Scoop cookie dough, flatten slightly, and add a small spoon of cream cheese mixture in the center.
- Wrap dough around the filling and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 12–14 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
- Cool completely, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it feels too soft.
- Do not overfill cookies to prevent leaking.
- Store cookies in the refrigerator due to the cream cheese filling.
