Ingredients
- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 200 g unsalted butter (softened)
- 200 g granulated sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 240 ml evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F) and grease a cake pan.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, nutmeg, and salt.
- Add the dry ingredients to the batter alternately with the evaporated milk, mixing gently.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Remove from oven, allow to cool, then serve.
