Description

A hearty and satisfying dish featuring tender seasoned steak served over fluffy rice, all smothered in a rich, melty cheesy sauce for the ultimate comfort meal.

Ingredients

  • 300g steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth or water
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice using beef broth or water according to package instructions. Set aside.
  2. Season steak pieces with salt, pepper, paprika, and onion powder.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 3-5 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add cheddar and mozzarella cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  7. Return the steak to the pan and mix to coat in the cheese sauce.
  8. Serve the cheesy steak over the cooked rice.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting.
  • You can add vegetables like bell peppers or mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Adjust cream quantity for thicker or thinner sauce.
  • Let steak rest briefly before adding back to retain juices.
