Description
Cheesy Tortellini Pasta Bake is a comforting oven-baked dish made with tender cheese-filled tortellini, rich marinara sauce, and layers of melted mozzarella and parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
- 500 g cheese tortellini
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F).
- Cook tortellini according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add marinara sauce, heavy cream, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; simmer for 5 minutes.
- Combine cooked tortellini with the sauce until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and parmesan evenly over the top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.
Notes
- Add cooked chicken or vegetables for variation.
- Cover with foil if the cheese browns too quickly.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
