Description
A giant, chewy chocolate chip cookie baked in pizza form — topped with extra chocolate chips and optional drizzles of melted chocolate or caramel. Perfect for sharing as a fun dessert pizza!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
- Optional: melted chocolate, caramel sauce, or sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract; mix until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the wet mixture until a dough forms.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Press dough evenly onto the prepared pizza pan, leaving a small border around the edge.
- Top with a few extra chocolate chips for presentation.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and the center is just set.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with melted chocolate or caramel if desired, then serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- For a soft, chewy texture, avoid overbaking — the cookie will continue to set as it cools.
- Top with ice cream scoops for a dessert pizza sundae!
- Use mini M&M’s or white chocolate chips for a colorful variation.
