Description

Flaky pastry hand pies filled with a creamy chocolate Oreo filling, baked until golden, and topped with a drizzle of chocolate or powdered sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (2 crusts)
  • 12 Oreo cookies, crushed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar or melted chocolate (for topping)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla until smooth. Stir in crushed Oreos.
  3. Roll out pie crusts and cut into 4–5 inch circles.
  4. Place 1–2 tablespoons of Oreo filling in the center of each circle. Fold over and press edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Whisk egg and milk together to make egg wash. Brush over tops of pies.
  6. Bake for 18–20 minutes, until golden brown.
  7. Cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.

Notes

  • For extra indulgence, add mini chocolate chips to the filling.
  • These can be made ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert.
