Description

A decadent layered dessert made with rich chocolate pudding, soft cake, and fluffy whipped cream, perfect for parties and special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate pudding (prepared)
  • 1 chocolate sponge cake or brownies, cut into cubes (about 300 g)
  • 2 cups whipped cream or whipped topping
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips or chocolate shavings
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder (optional, for dusting)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (optional, to sweeten whipped cream)

Instructions

  1. If using homemade whipped cream, beat cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  2. In a trifle bowl or glass dish, add a layer of cake cubes at the bottom.
  3. Spoon a layer of chocolate pudding over the cake.
  4. Add a layer of whipped cream and sprinkle with chocolate chips.
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped cream on top.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a dusting of cocoa powder.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving for best texture.

Notes

  • You can add sliced bananas or strawberries between layers.
  • Letting the trifle chill helps the flavors meld together.
