A rich and comforting pasta dish featuring tender chicken, creamy garlic parmesan sauce, and perfectly cooked pasta for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 12 oz pasta (fettuccine or penne)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken pieces, season with salt and pepper, and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Add cooked pasta and mix until fully coated with sauce.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
- Great with fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti pasta.
- Serve with garlic bread or a fresh salad.
