Creamy Lemon Chicken is a comforting yet bright dish featuring tender chicken breasts simmered in a rich, creamy lemon sauce with garlic and herbs, perfect for a quick and flavorful dinner.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 600 g)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped


Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, and dried thyme. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer for another 3–5 minutes, spooning sauce over the chicken.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

  • Serve with rice, pasta, or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
  • You can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
