Golden, crispy chicken breasts coated in a flavorful Parmesan and breadcrumb crust, pan-fried to perfection for a simple yet delicious main dish.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Italian seasoned or plain with herbs)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (or vegetable oil for frying)
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  1. Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness for quicker, more even cooking.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine flour with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  3. In another dish, whisk eggs with milk.
  4. In a third dish, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  5. Dredge chicken in flour, then dip in egg mixture, and finally coat with the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook chicken breasts for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown and fully cooked through (internal temperature 165°F/74°C).
  8. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  9. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges if desired.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and crispiness.
  • You can bake the chicken at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes as a lighter option.
