An indulgent dessert that combines fudgy brownies, rich caramel, and creamy cheesecake layers into one decadent treat, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients listed on package)
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for topping)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional, for garnish)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 20–25 minutes, until just set but not fully cooked. Let cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing on low until combined. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Pour half of the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownie base.
- Drizzle half of the caramel sauce over the cheesecake layer and gently swirl with a knife.
- Pour remaining cheesecake batter on top and smooth the surface.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Turn off oven, crack door open, and let cheesecake cool inside for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
- Top with additional caramel sauce, chocolate chips, and nuts if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use room-temperature cream cheese to avoid lumps.
- Bake the brownie layer slightly underdone so it remains fudgy after baking with the cheesecake.
- Chill overnight for the best texture and flavor.
- Substitute homemade caramel sauce for richer flavor.
