Description

A rich and indulgent dessert combining fudgy brownies, gooey caramel, and a flaky pie crust, topped with a drizzle of caramel for the ultimate sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch pie crust (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir into wet ingredients.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust. Pour caramel sauce evenly over the batter.
  6. Top with remaining brownie batter, spreading carefully to cover the caramel.
  7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, until the top is set but slightly fudgy in the center.
  8. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing. Drizzle with extra caramel sauce and serve with whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent version, sprinkle chopped pecans over the caramel layer before baking.
  • Do not overbake; the pie should remain slightly gooey in the center.
  • Best served warm, but can also be stored at room temperature for 2 days.
