Description

Rich, ultra-creamy chocolate cheesecake bars inspired by the indulgent dessert culture of Dubai, featuring a buttery biscuit crust and a smooth chocolate-infused cheesecake layer.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed tea biscuits or graham crackers
  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 16 oz (450 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup melted dark chocolate
  • Optional topping: melted chocolate drizzle, chopped pistachios, or gold dust


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix the crushed biscuits with melted butter until evenly combined. Press firmly into the bottom of the pan to form the crust.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing gently between each addition.
  5. Stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
  6. Add melted dark chocolate and fold until fully incorporated.
  7. Pour the chocolate cheesecake batter over the crust and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set but slightly jiggly.
  9. Cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before slicing into bars.
  10. Drizzle with chocolate or garnish with pistachios if desired.

Notes

  • For a Middle Eastern twist, use digestive biscuits for the crust.
  • Do not overbake; the cheesecake continues to set as it cools.
  • Best served chilled for clean, sharp cuts.
