Description
Garlic Butter Steak with Rigatoni is a rich and flavorful pasta dish featuring tender seared steak bites tossed in a creamy garlic butter sauce with rigatoni pasta.
Ingredients
- 12 oz rigatoni pasta
- 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized pieces)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- Season steak pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak pieces for 2–3 minutes per side until browned but still juicy. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in beef broth and heavy cream. Bring to a simmer and stir in Parmesan cheese until sauce thickens slightly.
- Add cooked rigatoni to the sauce, tossing to coat. If sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water as needed.
- Return steak to the skillet and toss everything together. Adjust seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak in garlic and herbs before cooking.
- Ribeye or New York strip can be used for a richer taste.
- Can substitute penne or ziti if rigatoni is not available.
