Description
Garlic Cheese Bread is a crispy, buttery bread topped with garlic, herbs, and melted cheese, perfect as an appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 1 baguette or Italian bread loaf (12 inches)
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place on a baking tray.
- In a bowl, mix butter, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over the bread.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and cheddar cheese on top.
- Add oregano and chopped parsley.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes.
- Remove from oven, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
- You can add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
- Use garlic powder if fresh garlic is unavailable.
- Best served fresh and hot.
