Description

A savory-sweet Hoisin Beef Noodles dish featuring tender beef strips, chewy noodles, and a rich hoisin-based stir-fry sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz rice noodles or lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 green onions, sliced
  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds for garnish


Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add sliced beef and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until browned, then remove from pan.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir to coat.
  6. Add the cooked noodles and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
  7. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Freeze the beef for 15 minutes before slicing for easier thin cuts.
  • Use any vegetables you prefer, such as broccoli or carrots.
  • For a spicier dish, add sliced chilies or extra red pepper flakes.
