Description
A savory-sweet Hoisin Beef Noodles dish featuring tender beef strips, chewy noodles, and a rich hoisin-based stir-fry sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz rice noodles or lo mein noodles
- 1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 cup snap peas
- 3 green onions, sliced
- 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add sliced beef and season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry until browned, then remove from pan.
- In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, bell pepper, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.
- Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the prepared sauce. Stir to coat.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss until everything is well combined and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Freeze the beef for 15 minutes before slicing for easier thin cuts.
- Use any vegetables you prefer, such as broccoli or carrots.
- For a spicier dish, add sliced chilies or extra red pepper flakes.
