Description

An ultra-easy lazy steak dinner recipe that delivers rich, juicy flavor with minimal effort—perfect for busy nights when you still want something delicious and satisfying.

Ingredients

  • 2 sirloin or ribeye steaks (about 200–250g each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika (optional)
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup baby potatoes, halved
  • 1 cup green beans or any quick vegetable

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the steaks with salt, pepper, paprika, and dried herbs on both sides.
  3. Add the steaks to the hot pan and cook for 3–5 minutes per side depending on desired doneness.
  4. In the last 2 minutes, add butter and garlic, then spoon the melted butter over the steaks.
  5. Remove steaks from the pan and let them rest for 5 minutes.
  6. In the same pan, add halved potatoes and cook for 10–12 minutes until golden and tender.
  7. Add green beans and cook for another 5 minutes until tender.
  8. Serve the steak with potatoes and vegetables, drizzling any leftover butter from the pan on top.

Notes

  • No marinating needed—simple seasoning works great.
  • Use pre-washed and pre-cut veggies to save time.
  • Cooking everything in one pan reduces cleanup.
  • Letting the steak rest keeps it juicy.
  • Swap potatoes with bread or salad for an even lazier version.
