Description
Juicy shrimp sautéed in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, perfect as a quick entrée or served over pasta, rice, or vegetables.
Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink; remove and set aside.
- Add remaining butter to the skillet along with the minced garlic; sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in lemon juice, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
- Do not overcook shrimp or they will become rubbery.
- Add a splash of white wine for extra depth.
- Serve over pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread.
- Use fresh lemon for the best flavor.
