A sweet and savory maple chicken dish featuring tender chicken glazed in a rich maple syrup sauce with warm spices, perfect for an easy weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Stir in maple syrup, soy sauce, and Dijon mustard.
- Simmer sauce for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over the top.
- Cook an additional 2 minutes, glazing the chicken well.
- Serve hot with extra sauce drizzled on top.
Notes
- Use pure maple syrup for best flavor.
- Pairs well with roasted vegetables or rice.
- Can also be baked at 375°F for 25 minutes.
