Description

A soft, moist marble cake swirled with rich chocolate and vanilla batters, creating a beautiful pattern and classic flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for chocolate batter)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf or bundt pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing until smooth.
  6. Stir in the vanilla.
  7. Transfer one-third of the batter to a separate bowl and mix in cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  8. Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters alternately into the pan.
  9. Use a knife to gently swirl the batters to create a marble pattern.
  10. Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the swirl to keep a distinct marbled look.
  • Add chocolate chips for extra richness.
  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor.
