Description
A soft, moist marble cake swirled with rich chocolate and vanilla batters, creating a beautiful pattern and classic flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 2 tbsp sugar (for chocolate batter)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf or bundt pan.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternately with milk, mixing until smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla.
- Transfer one-third of the batter to a separate bowl and mix in cocoa powder and 2 tablespoons of sugar.
- Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters alternately into the pan.
- Use a knife to gently swirl the batters to create a marble pattern.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- Do not overmix the swirl to keep a distinct marbled look.
- Add chocolate chips for extra richness.
- Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best flavor.
