Description

A hearty, family-friendly casserole that combines all the bold flavors of a meat lovers pizza—savory sausage, pepperoni, ground beef, rich tomato sauce, pasta, and plenty of melted cheese—baked into a comforting one-dish meal.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz cooked penne or rotini pasta
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz beef sausage, sliced
  • 1 cup beef pepperoni slices
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add onion and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  5. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Add ground beef and sausage, cooking until browned. Drain excess fat.
  7. Stir in pepperoni, marinara sauce, oregano, basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  8. Simmer sauce for 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  9. In a large bowl, combine cooked pasta with meat sauce.
  10. Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
  11. Top evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  12. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
