Description
A quick and flavorful stir-fry featuring tender beef strips sautéed with colorful bell peppers in a savory sauce, perfect for a fast and satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 500 g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
- Add sliced beef and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned but still tender. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onion and bell peppers. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until slightly tender but crisp.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return beef to the pan and pour in the sauce mixture.
- Stir-fry for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and vegetables.
- Season with black pepper and salt if needed.
- Remove from heat and serve hot.
Notes
- Slice beef against the grain for maximum tenderness.
- You can add chili flakes for a spicy kick.
- Serve with steamed rice or noodles.
