A flavorful stir-fry noodle dish combining juicy shrimp, tender steak, and vegetables tossed in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein or udon noodles
  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak slices and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Add remaining oil to the skillet and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
  6. Add broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  7. Return steak and shrimp to the skillet.
  8. Stir in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
  9. Add cooked noodles and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  10. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • Do not overcook shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
