Description
A flavorful stir-fry noodle dish combining juicy shrimp, tender steak, and vegetables tossed in a sweet and savory teriyaki sauce for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 8 oz lo mein or udon noodles
- 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced
- 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots
- 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Cook noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add steak slices and stir-fry for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the skillet and cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add broccoli, bell peppers, and carrots. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return steak and shrimp to the skillet.
- Stir in teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and sesame oil.
- Add cooked noodles and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- Slice steak thinly against the grain for tenderness.
- Do not overcook shrimp to avoid a rubbery texture.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce if preferred.
