A flavorful twist on classic spaghetti and meatballs, featuring juicy turkey meatballs with a spicy kick served over tender pasta in a rich tomato sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 pound spaghetti
- Extra Parmesan cheese and parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle with olive oil and bake for 18–20 minutes, until cooked through and golden.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat marinara sauce in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cooked meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve meatballs and sauce over spaghetti. Garnish with Parmesan and parsley.
Notes
- Adjust spice level by increasing or reducing red pepper flakes.
- For extra flavor, sear meatballs in a skillet before baking.
- Use whole wheat or gluten-free spaghetti if preferred.
