Description

Spinach Garlic Meatballs Stuffed with Mozzarella are juicy seasoned meatballs mixed with spinach and garlic, filled with a gooey mozzarella center and baked until golden and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 120 g mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl combine ground beef, chopped spinach, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Take about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and flatten it in your hand.
  5. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat mixture around it to form a ball, sealing the cheese inside.
  6. Repeat with the remaining mixture and place the meatballs on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Lightly brush or drizzle olive oil over the meatballs.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes until the meatballs are fully cooked and golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Make sure the mozzarella is fully sealed inside to prevent it from leaking during baking.
  • You can pan-sear the meatballs for 2–3 minutes before baking for extra flavor.
  • Serve with marinara sauce, pasta, or garlic bread.
  • Frozen spinach can be used if well drained.
