Description

A flavorful surf and turf noodle dish combining juicy steak, tender shrimp, and stir-fried noodles tossed in a savory garlic soy sauce.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, minced
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
  4. Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
  5. In the same pan, cook the shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
  6. Add garlic, ginger, and bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.
  7. Return steak and shrimp to the pan, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
  8. Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use rice noodles or gluten-free noodles for a gluten-free option.
  • Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
  • Can be made with chicken or tofu as substitutes.
