Description
A flavorful surf and turf noodle dish combining juicy steak, tender shrimp, and stir-fried noodles tossed in a savory garlic soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 8 oz sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 8 oz shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 cup bell peppers, sliced
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
- Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat a wok or large pan over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
- Sear the steak for 2–3 minutes until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, cook the shrimp until pink and opaque, about 2 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Add garlic, ginger, and bell peppers to the pan and stir-fry for 1–2 minutes.
- Return steak and shrimp to the pan, then add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, and sesame oil.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss until evenly coated and heated through.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
Notes
- Use rice noodles or gluten-free noodles for a gluten-free option.
- Add chili flakes or sriracha for a spicy kick.
- Can be made with chicken or tofu as substitutes.
