Description

Steak and Shrimp Pasta is a hearty and indulgent dinner combining tender slices of steak and juicy shrimp tossed with pasta in a rich, creamy garlic Parmesan sauce. It’s a perfect balance of surf and turf comfort food.

Ingredients

  • 250 g pasta (fettuccine or penne)
  • 250 g sirloin or ribeye steak, sliced
  • 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak slices with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add butter and shrimp. Cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  5. Add garlic to the skillet and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Pour in broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Simmer gently for 3–4 minutes.
  7. Stir in Parmesan cheese and chili flakes until the sauce thickens.
  8. Return steak and shrimp to the skillet along with cooked pasta.
  9. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook steak or shrimp to keep them tender.
  • You can substitute cream with half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra vegetables.
  • Serve with garlic bread or a side salad.
