Description

Tender, juicy steak bites tossed with shell pasta in a rich, garlicky butter Alfredo sauce. This dish combines the comfort of creamy pasta with the bold flavor of seared steak — indulgent, satisfying, and perfect for any weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb sirloin or ribeye steak (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 8 oz medium shell pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • Optional: pinch of red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook shell pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season steak bites generously with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. In the same skillet, add remaining 1 tbsp butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Stir in Parmesan cheese and simmer for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
  7. Return steak bites to the pan and stir gently to combine.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use high-quality steak (like sirloin or ribeye) for the most tender bites.
  • Don’t overcrowd the pan when searing steak — work in batches if needed.
  • For a richer sauce, add a touch of cream cheese or extra butter.
  • This dish pairs wonderfully with roasted broccoli or garlic bread.
