Description
A hearty and protein-packed breakfast featuring juicy pan-seared steak paired with perfectly cooked eggs for a classic morning meal.
Ingredients
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 8 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley or chives, chopped (for garnish)
- Hot sauce or steak sauce (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Pat steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook steaks for 3–4 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet, cover, and let rest.
- In the same skillet, add remaining oil or butter. Crack eggs into the pan and cook to your preferred style (sunny side up, over easy, or scrambled).
- Slice rested steak against the grain.
- Serve steak alongside eggs, garnished with parsley or chives. Add hot sauce or steak sauce if desired.
Notes
- For extra flavor, baste steak with butter and garlic during cooking.
- Pair with hash browns, toast, or avocado for a complete breakfast.
- Use a cast-iron skillet for the best sear on the steak.
