Description

A hearty and flavorful dish featuring juicy steak served over cheesy rice with queso sauce, perfect for a comforting and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, sliced thin
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup queso dip (or melted cheese sauce)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/4 cup diced onions
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Lime wedges, for serving


Instructions

  1. Season steak slices with chili powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add steak slices and cook 3–5 minutes until browned and cooked to desired doneness. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté onions and bell peppers until tender, about 3 minutes.
  5. Warm the queso dip in a saucepan or microwave until smooth.
  6. Place cooked rice on serving plates, top with steak and vegetables.
  7. Drizzle with queso sauce and garnish with cilantro.
  8. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken or shrimp for the steak.
  • Use brown rice or cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
  • Adjust spice level by adding jalapeños or hot sauce.
