Description
A savory one-skillet meal featuring tender seared steak bites cooked in a rich honey garlic butter sauce and served over seasoned rice for a hearty and flavorful dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 1/2 cups long-grain rice
- 2 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Season steak bites with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
- Add honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
- Add rice to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
- Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the honey garlic butter sauce.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- For deeper flavor, marinate steak in soy sauce and garlic for 15 minutes before cooking.
- Use jasmine rice for extra fragrance.
- Add broccoli or peas during the last 5 minutes for a complete one-pan meal.
