Description

A savory one-skillet meal featuring tender seared steak bites cooked in a rich honey garlic butter sauce and served over seasoned rice for a hearty and flavorful dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb sirloin or flank steak, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups long-grain rice
  • 2 1/2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Season steak bites with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in minced garlic and cook 1 minute.
  3. Add honey, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
  4. Add rice to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
  5. Pour in beef broth, bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
  6. Return steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the honey garlic butter sauce.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • For deeper flavor, marinate steak in soy sauce and garlic for 15 minutes before cooking.
  • Use jasmine rice for extra fragrance.
  • Add broccoli or peas during the last 5 minutes for a complete one-pan meal.
