Description

Surf and Turf with Shrimp and Lobster Cream Sauce is a luxurious main course featuring perfectly seared steak paired with shrimp, all topped with a rich, velvety lobster-infused cream sauce. Ideal for special occasions or an elegant dinner at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 ribeye or filet mignon steaks (about 250 g each)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 250 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup seafood or chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Season the steaks generously with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over high heat and sear steaks for 3–5 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove and rest.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  5. Lower heat and pour in broth and heavy cream, stirring to deglaze the pan.
  6. Add lobster meat, Parmesan cheese, paprika, and lemon juice. Simmer gently until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return shrimp to the sauce and heat through.
  8. Serve steaks topped with shrimp and generous spoonfuls of lobster cream sauce.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Do not overcook the shrimp to keep them tender.
  • Filet mignon works best for a more elegant presentation.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or roasted asparagus.
  • Sauce can be made slightly ahead and gently reheated.
