Description
A luxurious surf and turf platter featuring juicy seared steak and tender shrimp, finished with rich garlic herb butter for a restaurant-quality meal at home.
Ingredients
- 2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 250 g each)
- 300 g large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary, chopped
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat the steaks dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a heavy skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear steaks for 3–4 minutes per side (or to desired doneness). Remove and rest.
- In the same pan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add shrimp, season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink.
- Stir in parsley, thyme, and lemon juice.
- Return steaks to the pan briefly and spoon garlic herb butter over the top.
- Serve immediately with extra butter drizzled on the platter.
Notes
- Let steaks rest before serving to retain juices.
- Do not overcook shrimp; they cook very quickly.
- Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
