Description
A festive and creamy Thanksgiving-inspired pumpkin vanilla soda made with pumpkin spice, vanilla, and sparkling soda for a sweet holiday treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 4 cups club soda or cream soda
- Whipped cream for topping
- Ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine pumpkin puree, brown sugar, water, and pumpkin pie spice.
- Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Allow the pumpkin syrup to cool completely.
- In a glass, add 2–3 tablespoons of pumpkin syrup.
- Pour in 1/4 cup heavy cream and stir gently.
- Slowly top with club soda or cream soda to fill the glass.
- Finish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Serve immediately and adjust syrup amount to taste.
Notes
- Use cream soda for a sweeter, more dessert-like drink.
- Chill the pumpkin syrup before using for best fizz.
- Make the syrup ahead and refrigerate up to 5 days.
- Add extra vanilla for stronger flavor.
