Description

Garlic Butter Beef Bites with Creamy Mashed Potatoes is a comforting and indulgent dish featuring tender, juicy steak bites seared to perfection in garlic butter, served over smooth and fluffy mashed potatoes. A perfect blend of rich, savory flavors for a cozy meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • 2 lbs Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup whole milk (warm)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter (for potatoes)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook for 15–18 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain potatoes and return to the pot. Add butter, milk, and heavy cream. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Keep warm.
  3. Pat steak cubes dry with paper towels and season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until browned. Work in batches if needed. Remove and set aside.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the same skillet, and melt. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Return beef to the skillet and toss in the garlic butter until coated.
  7. Serve steak bites over creamy mashed potatoes and spoon extra garlic butter sauce over the top.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use room temperature steak for even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet to achieve a perfect sear.
  • For a touch of acidity, drizzle with a bit of lemon juice or balsamic glaze before serving.
