Description

Rich, fudgy red velvet brownies with a dramatic bright red center and sweet cream cheese bite marks—perfect for spooky Halloween treats.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  4. Stir in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and red food coloring until combined. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar until creamy.
  6. Pour brownie batter into the pan and smooth the top.
  7. Add small dollops of the cream cheese mixture, swirling slightly with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 22–25 minutes or until set but still fudgy.
  9. Let cool completely, then use a straw or piping tip to poke two small “bite marks” in each brownie for the vampire effect.

Notes

  • For a brighter red color, use gel food coloring.
  • Chill brownies before cutting for cleaner slices.
  • Add a drizzle of raspberry sauce into the bite marks for a “bloody” effect.
