Ingredients
- 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated garlic knots or pizza dough cut into knots
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 green onions, sliced (optional)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake the garlic knots according to the package directions until just lightly golden, about 75% cooked.
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, barbecue sauce, ranch dressing, ranch seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Cut the partially baked garlic knots into bite-sized pieces.
- Spread half of the garlic knot pieces into the prepared baking dish.
- Top with half of the BBQ ranch chicken mixture, followed by half of the mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining garlic knots, chicken mixture, and cheeses.
- Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
- Mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning, then drizzle over the casserole.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and sliced green onions before serving.
