Description

Cookie Butter Croissant Bake is a rich and cozy baked dessert casserole made with buttery croissants, creamy cookie butter, and a sweet vanilla custard. Baked until golden and topped with a cookie butter drizzle, this indulgent treat is perfect for brunch, holidays, or dessert.

Ingredients

  • 6 large croissants, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup cookie butter spread
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup crushed cookie butter cookies
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar for garnish
  • 3 tablespoons warmed cookie butter for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Place half of the croissant pieces evenly into the baking dish.
  3. Add small spoonfuls of half the cookie butter over the croissant layer.
  4. Repeat with remaining croissants and cookie butter.
  5. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, milk, heavy cream, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt until combined.
  6. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the croissants.
  7. Gently press the croissants down so they absorb the custard.
  8. Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle crushed cookie butter cookies over the top.
  10. Bake for 40-45 minutes until puffed, golden, and set in the center.
  11. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  12. Drizzle with warmed cookie butter.
  13. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Day-old croissants absorb the custard best and create a richer texture.
  • Prepare the casserole the night before and bake in the morning if desired.
  • Add white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
