Description

A bold and creamy Cajun chicken pasta packed with smoky spices, tender chicken, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce tossed with pasta.

Ingredients

  • 250g penne pasta
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and bell pepper until softened.
  5. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits.
  7. Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens.
  9. Return chicken to the pan, then add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
  10. Adjust seasoning and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
  • Use shrimp instead of chicken for variation.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra vegetables.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan melts better than pre-shredded.
