Description
A bold and creamy Cajun chicken pasta packed with smoky spices, tender chicken, and a rich Parmesan cream sauce tossed with pasta.
Ingredients
- 250g penne pasta
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 small onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken with Cajun seasoning, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onion and bell pepper until softened.
- Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits.
- Add heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook until sauce thickens.
- Return chicken to the pan, then add cooked pasta and toss to coat.
- Adjust seasoning and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- Adjust Cajun seasoning to control spice level.
- Use shrimp instead of chicken for variation.
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra vegetables.
- Freshly grated Parmesan melts better than pre-shredded.
