Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs sirloin steak, thinly sliced
- 12 oz egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Cook egg noodles according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak strips, season with half the salt and pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining olive oil and butter to the skillet.
- Add onions and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until deeply caramelized.
- Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, remaining salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
- Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in heavy cream.
- Add Gruyère and Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Return steak to the skillet.
- Add cooked noodles and toss until fully coated in the sauce.
- Cook for 2 minutes until heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
