Description

Creamy Pepperoni Alfredo Gnocchi is a rich one-pan comfort meal featuring pillowy potato gnocchi tossed in a velvety homemade Alfredo sauce with crispy halal beef pepperoni, garlic, Parmesan, and mozzarella. This hearty Italian-inspired skillet is ready in about 30 minutes and is perfect for busy weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb potato gnocchi
  • 6 oz halal beef pepperoni slices, halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the gnocchi according to the package directions until they float. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the halal beef pepperoni and cook for 2-3 minutes until lightly crisp. Remove half for garnish, leaving the rest in the skillet.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter.
  5. Add the garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and milk, bringing the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  8. Whisk in the Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  9. Stir in half of the mozzarella cheese until melted.
  10. Add the cooked gnocchi and toss gently to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  11. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella over the top, cover for 2-3 minutes until melted, or broil for 2 minutes for a golden finish.
  12. Top with the reserved crispy halal beef pepperoni, parsley, basil, and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Freshly grated Parmesan produces the smoothest Alfredo sauce.
  • Pan-searing the gnocchi before adding the sauce creates a delicious crispy exterior.
  • Add spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Use low heat when adding cheese to prevent the sauce from separating.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
