Description

Creamy Pickle Ranch Chicken Skillet is a flavorful one-pan dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts simmered in a rich garlic ranch cream sauce with chopped dill pickles, Parmesan cheese, and fresh herbs. The tangy pickle flavor perfectly complements the creamy ranch sauce for a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup dill pickles, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons pickle juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  4. Reduce the heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet.
  5. Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  6. Stir in the ranch seasoning, dried parsley, and dried dill.
  7. Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
  8. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth.
  9. Add the chopped pickles and pickle juice, then simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  10. Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the top.
  11. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  12. Garnish with fresh dill and parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Use refrigerated dill pickles for the freshest flavor.
  • Chicken thighs can be substituted for an even juicier dish.
  • Freshly grated Parmesan creates the smoothest sauce.
  • Serve over mashed potatoes, egg noodles, rice, or roasted vegetables.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
