Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs large shrimp, peeled and deveined

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 medium shallots, finely diced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup chicken or seafood broth
- 3/4 cup heavy cream
- 3/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the shrimp with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook shrimp for 1-2 minutes per side until just pink. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and melt the butter in the same skillet.
- Add the shallots and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- Stir in the garlic and Italian seasoning and cook for 30 seconds.
- Pour in the broth, scraping any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
- Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
- Add the lemon juice and stir to combine.
- Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
