Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1-2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, chili powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Divide the chicken mixture into 8 equal portions.
  3. Spread each portion thinly onto one side of each tortilla.
  4. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat and lightly grease with olive oil.
  5. Place tortillas chicken-side down onto the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes until crispy and cooked through.
  6. Flip the tortillas and cook the other side for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.
  7. In a small bowl, mix honey, hot sauce, and red pepper flakes to make the hot honey sauce.
  8. In another bowl, combine shredded lettuce, cabbage, mayonnaise, and lime juice to make the slaw.
  9. Top each taco with cheese, slaw, pickles, and a drizzle of hot honey.
  10. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve immediately.

  • A cast iron skillet gives the crispiest texture.
  • Serve immediately for maximum crunch.
  • You can substitute ground turkey for chicken.
