Description

Garlic Butter Cheeseburgers are juicy beef burgers infused with savory seasonings, seared to perfection, and finished with a rich garlic butter glaze. Topped with melted cheddar cheese and served on toasted buns, these burgers are a flavorful twist on the classic cheeseburger.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 brioche hamburger buns, split
  • 4 lettuce leaves
  • 2 tomato slices, cut into quarters
  • 8 pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties slightly larger than the buns.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill over medium-high heat.
  4. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  5. During the last minute of cooking, top each burger with a slice of cheddar cheese and allow it to melt.
  6. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  7. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30-60 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the chopped parsley.
  8. Brush the garlic butter generously over both sides of the cooked burgers.
  9. Lightly toast the brioche buns.
  10. Spread mayonnaise on the buns if desired, then assemble with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and the garlic butter cheeseburger.
  11. Serve immediately with fries, chips, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • Do not overwork the beef mixture to keep the burgers tender.
  • Use freshly minced garlic for the best flavor.
  • Swiss, provolone, or pepper jack cheese can be substituted for cheddar.
  • Brush extra garlic butter on the toasted buns for even more flavor.
  • Cook burgers to an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for food safety.
