Description

Juicy garlic butter steak bites served with rich and creamy potatoes, a quick and satisfying 30-minute dinner perfect for busy nights.

Ingredients

  • 500g steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
  • 500g potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for potatoes)
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water for 12–15 minutes until fork-tender.
  2. Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, cream, milk, and parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes without stirring.
  5. Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.
  6. Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Toss steak bites in the garlic butter for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  8. Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
  9. Serve steak bites hot with creamy mashed potatoes on the side.

Notes

  • Use a well-marbled cut like ribeye for extra tenderness.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure a good sear.
  • You can substitute milk with more cream for richer potatoes.
  • Add a splash of lemon juice for a brighter flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
