Ingredients
- 500g steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 500g potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter (for potatoes)
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in salted water for 12–15 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, cream, milk, and parmesan cheese until smooth. Season with salt and pepper. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add steak bites in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes without stirring.
- Flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter, garlic, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Toss steak bites in the garlic butter for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve steak bites hot with creamy mashed potatoes on the side.
Notes
- Use a well-marbled cut like ribeye for extra tenderness.
- Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure a good sear.
- You can substitute milk with more cream for richer potatoes.
- Add a splash of lemon juice for a brighter flavor.
