Description

Honey Dijon Salmon Patties are tender, flavorful salmon cakes made with flaky salmon, Dijon mustard, honey, herbs, and breadcrumbs, then pan-seared until golden brown. Served with a simple honey Dijon sauce, these protein-packed patties make an easy lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked salmon, flaked
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 green onions, finely sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • For the Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, Dijon mustard, honey, green onions, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix gently until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 8 equal patties.
  4. Refrigerate for 15 minutes to help them hold their shape.
  5. Meanwhile, whisk together Dijon mustard, honey, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, and dill to make the sauce.
  6. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  7. Cook salmon patties for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and heated through.
  8. Transfer to a serving platter.
  9. Drizzle with honey Dijon sauce or serve the sauce on the side.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Fresh cooked salmon provides the best flavor, but canned salmon may also be used.
  • Chilling the patties helps prevent them from falling apart.
  • Do not overcrowd the skillet while cooking.
  • Serve with a salad, roasted vegetables, or rice.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated for up to 3 days.
