Ingredients

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated sweet roll dough or crescent dough sheet
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup pistachio cream spread
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon milk (if needed)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pistachios for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle on a lightly floured surface.
  3. In a bowl, mix pistachio cream, softened butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and finely chopped pistachios.
  4. Spread the pistachio filling evenly over the dough.
  5. Roll the dough tightly into a log.
  6. Slice into 8 equal rolls and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Allow rolls to cool slightly.
  9. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and heavy cream until smooth to create the glaze.
  10. Add milk if needed to thin the glaze.
  11. Spread the glaze over the warm rolls.
  12. Sprinkle with chopped pistachios.
  13. Serve warm.
